Ingredients
  1. Garlic 5 pieces
  2. Oil
  3. Hing powder ½ spoon
  4. Mustard 1 spoon
  5. Turmeric powder 1 spoon
  6. Salt

  8. Tomato 1
  9. Onion 1
  10. Green Chili 
  11. Curry leaves
  12. Nookal (Kohl Rabi) – 3
  13. Red Gram (Tuavaram paruppu) 1 bowl
  14. Tamarind Juice 1 bowl
  15. Water
  16. Small onion
  17. Fenugreek seed 1 spoon

Procedure
  1. Add 1 bowl of rinsed Red Gram (Tuavaram paruppu) in a cooker, 5 pieces of garlic, pour some water, 1 spoon of oil, Turmeric Powder ½ spoon and close the lid.
  2. Open the lid after 3 whistle and mix it well.
  3. Transfer half of it to a different container and place the remaining in the cooker on the boiler.
  4. Add 2 spoon of oil in a tawa and add handful of small onion, 2 green chili, chopped Nookal (Kohl Rabi) and tomato & pour it in the cooker.
  5. Add salt, 1 and half spoon of Kulambu Milagai Powder, ½ spoon of hing powder, pour some water and close the lid.
  6. Open the lid after 5 minutes, add bowl of tamarind juice, pour the remaining saved in the separate container.
  7. Add 2 spoon of oil in a tawa, 1 spoon of mustard, ½ Fenugreek seed, curry leaves and pour it to the sambar.
  8. Nookal Sambar Ready
